Muse Woodcraft is a small artisan shop in Western Oregon, dealing in turned and carved wood art. I do utilitarian pieces such as bowls and plates, and artistic forms such as hollow vessels, vases and urns. Some work involves carving, color, or pyrography; other pieces are just as they come off the lathe. I strive to find the ideal balance between the nature of the wood and the best form to display it.
The wood I use is from the Pacific Northwest, usually within 50 miles from my home, and is salvaged from trees that have been removed due to age, disease or urban growth.
